Daily Briefing, 6/12/2009

Good morning everyone! Here is what we have for you today.

Lehigh and Northampton county's will try to meet again on Tuesday to ratify a budget for the proposed Lehigh/Northampton county health agency. Their previous attempt at an agency failed when Northampton county was unable to come up with a quorum for the meeting. In Easton, PA Secretary of Education Zahorchak held a press conference to rally against proposed state funding cuts to education. Meanwhile, the PA Agricultural Board yesterday preserved 4,225 acres in Pennsylvania, including properties in Lehigh and Northampton. And some good news for Easton, as the City was awarded $1 million in grants for improvement programs in the West Ward and South Side of the city. And a reminder: TV's switch from analog to digital today. Get rid of those bunny ears!

We have one Chamber event today - and its gonna be one for the ages. We are proud to present The Roast of Tony Iannelli. This should be GOOD!

Have a great weekend!
