Program Manager, Materials and Weld Training

FT- Manage NCC’s Materials Testing and Weld Training program. Responsible to oversee and participate in: 1) curriculum development, instructional delivery, student advising; 2) management and training of instructors, equipment repairs and material acquisition ; 3) assisting Center for Business and Industry in the marketing and delivery of customized services to industry. Candidates should posses a valid Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) credential with no less than 15 years of industrial experience in code welding and metal fabrication. Must have a working knowledge of the following manual and semiautomatic processes and equipment: SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, SAW, TB and S along with CAC-A, PAC and OFC thermal processes on steel, stainless steel and aluminum as applied to sheet, plate, pipe and tubing. Also must have a working knowledge of NDT Level I & II (VT, MT, PT, UT and RT) along with applied metallurgy, mechanical testing and metallographic procedures along with the ability to interpret welding codes. Instructors – Mechanical courses

Instructor for mechanical courses covering types of components and fasteners; tool usage; operation and servicing of basic components and assemblies such as belts, chains, gear drives, bearings, seals, and couplings; component application to achieving different types of motion in automation and robotic manipulators. Associate degree, Bachelors degree preferred, hands-on experience required; training experience a plus. Classes start in June T/R evenings 3:00 - 6:00 pm. PT - Wash dishes, utensils, glassware, pots and pans. Return clean equipment to proper location. Keep dish area clean and free from debris. Take trash out to dumpster. Clean walls, tables, stoves and any other pieces of equipment as needed by the culinary arts department. Typical shifts will be from 4:00pm until the restaurant has closed. Most common closing time is 11:00pm. This employee will have two or three shifts per week and on average will have approximately 12 - 15 hours.
