Daily Briefing, 11/30/2010

Good morning everyone!  Here is today's Daily Briefing.

In Bethlehem, city officials have developed a preservation plan that would make it harder to demolish about fifty buildings in the city.  Be careful later tonight: a flood watch is in effect.  Municipalities from around the Valley are seeking funding from the state's Transportation Enhancement Program to pay for the improvements of local roads.

Though complete totals are not available yet, Cyber Monday sales could top $1 billion and were up an estimated 15% at 3pm yesterday.  President Obama has ordered a freeze in federal pay for the next two years, citing the federal deficit.

We have one Chamber event today: the Northampton Area Chamber of Commerce is holding their annual Night at the Roxy mixer.  President Obama is set to meet with congressional leaders later today in the so-called "Slurpee Summit."

That's all for now!  We'll be back later today, including with our latest This Week With Tony video.  Have a good one!
