Daily Briefing, 2/16/2011

Good morning everyone!  Here is today's Daily Briefing.

The City of Allentown's credit outlook has been revised from stable to negative.  The City has also said that last week's fire cost about $26,000 in overtime.  Northampton County Judge Steven Baretta said that an ordinance to vote on the sale of Gracedale can stay on the ballot.  In Bethlehem, City Council approved a "lockbox" law that forbids the spending of certain type of funding without their approval.  The Easton Area School District approved a preliminary budget that included a 1.7% tax hike and a $10.54 million deficit.

We have one Chamber event today:  a Ski & Networking Mixer at Bear Creek, held by the East Penn & Western Lehigh Chambers of Commerce.

That's it for now!  Have a great day, and we'll see you later.
