Daily Briefing, 8/18/2011

Good morning everyone!  Here is today's Daily Briefing.

In Allentown, City Council voted to decertify certain properties from the Keystone Opportunity Zone to allow for the expansion of the Neighborhood Improvement Zone that will fund the arena project.  Northampton County is considering stopping the attempts at founding a bi-county public health bureau once and for all.  County Council will also be voting on a management firm for Gracedale.  In North Whitehall township, supervisors voted to move forward with the writing of an ordinance that would allow for the creation of a Township Manager position.  In Bethlehem, the Parking Authority will be installing electronic parking meters along West Broad Street - the meters will be able to take debit & credit cards.

That's it for now!  Have a good one, and we'll see you later.
