Daily Briefing, 9/28/2011

Good morning everyone!  Here is today's Daily Briefing.

In Northampton County, County Executive John Stoffa has announced the resignation of John Conklin, his Director of Administration, and said that he will be picking a new Director this week.  The Lehigh Valley International Airport has unveiled a new logo that returns to the ABE acronym.

In state-wide news, legislators have created a plan that would allow for a state takeover of Harrisburg as a result of the city's $300 million deficit.

In national news, Amazon is set to unveil its own tablet today.  In a speech yesterday, Governor Chris Christie (R-NJ) refused to issue a new denial of Presidential ambitions and is said to still be considering an entry into the race.  Federal lawyers have said they will allow an appeal of President Obama's health care reform to head to the Supreme Court, where it will be decided and likely ruled upon before the 2012 elections.
