Daily Briefing 9/29/2011

Good morning everyone!  Here is today's Daily Briefing.

Significant rains hit the Valley yesterday, causing some minor flooding...again.  In state-wide news, Governor Corbett has said that he will signed legislation recently passed by the legislature that increases restrictions on teenage drivers. In national news, a new Fox News poll shows that Mitt Romney has retaken the national lead for the Republican Presidential nomination.  The state of Florida appears set to move its primary into January, causing a chain reaction that will push the New Hampshire, Iowa, Nevada and South Carolina primaries/caucuses into mid-January.  Amazon introduced its tablet yesterday, the Kindle Fire.

We have one Chamber event today, and its a big one: our annual Mayors' Dinner.

That's it for now!  Have a great day, and we'll be back later.
