Daily Briefing, 1/19/2012

Good morning everyone!  Here is today's Daily Briefing.

In Bethlehem, possible replacement candidates for Controller have until January 31 to submit their resumes to City Council.  In Allentown, the head of the city's EMS has resigned after guiding through controversial new changes.  In the Allentown School District, taxes may rise as much as 7.37%.  The Sands in Bethlehem had the best revenue growth of any Pennsylvania casino.  Northampton County recommended the approval of a new contract with the County's Social Services Union.

In national news, official results of the Iowa caucuses will be released today; the end results may show that Rick Santorum won.

We have two Chamber events today: a Young Professionals event on stress relief and a grand opening at SourceOne Accountants.
