Daily Briefing, 1/3/2012

Good morning everyone, and Happy New Year!  Welcome back to work!  Here is today's Daily Briefing.

A Morning Call story looks at Northampton County's investment in Commerce Center Boulevard, noting the economic development that has taken place there.  Another story also looks at what comes next in the political career of Ron Angle.

In state-wide news, a memo obtained by the Harrisburg Patriot News and written by Governor Corbett's staff contrasts the accomplishments of Governor Corbett with previous Pennsylvania Governors and other Governors across the country.

In national news, today is the Iowa Caucuses - final polling generally shows Mitt Romney with a slightly lead, closely trailed by Ron Paul and Rick Santorum.  The federal government has begun to enforce a new law banning the use of cell phones by truck drivers while driving.

And that's it for now.  Have a great day, and we'll be back later!
