Daily Briefing, 8/27/2012

Good morning everyone!  Here is today's Daily Briefing.

A Morning Call story takes a look at how the city's proposed leasing of its water & sewer systems would affect its suburban customers.  Local Democrats selected Danny McNeill, former Whitehall Township Commissioner & Executive, to replace Joe Brennan in the 133rd District; the decision still has to be ratified by state Democratic leaders.  Bill Hansell will be sworn in as the new Lehigh County Executive tomorrow.

In national news, Hurricane Issac has forced the Republicans to delay the first day of their convention.

We have one Chamber event today: Iron Pigs Night Out with the Young Professionals.

And that's it for now!  Have a great day, and we'll see you later.
