Daily Briefing, 8/7/2012

Good morning everyone!  Here is today's Daily Briefing.

In Allentown, with the lawsuits gone, construction on the arena is set to start again shortly.  In Macungie, despite saying he'd resign after an arrest for numerous charges related to public urination, Borough Councilman Lynn Walker did not attend Monday's Borough Council meeting and did not resign.  Michelle Obama will be at Moravian College this Thursday.

In state-wide news, the 2012 elections haven't even been held yet, but Democrats appear to have their first entry into the 2014 gubernatorial race: millionaire Tom Knox yesterday said he was considering another run at the office.

In national news, new fundraising news shows that Mitt Romney and the RNC outraised Barack Obama and the DNC again: $101 million to $75 million.

And that's it for now!  Have a great day, and we'll see you later.
