2016 SUMMER WORK EXPERIENCE PROGRAM FOR YOUTH
REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP)
The LVWDB is seeking proposals to coordinate and implement a six week paid 2016 Summer Work Experience Program for Youth for 100 disadvantaged students ages 16-18 that are rising high school seniors residing in Lehigh and Northampton Counties. Subsidized employment provides valuable skill development for young people and serves as a stepping stone to unsubsidized employment. Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Youth Funds will finance the paid work experiences for 100 eligible youth.
Proposals must address all of the following 2016 Summer Work Experience Program for Youth activities:
A. Recruitment of Lehigh and Northampton County TANF eligible youth
B. Youth Eligibility Determination, Assessment, Collection/Completion of Supporting Documentation
C. Career and Job Coaching
D. Development, Oversite and Coordination of a Work Experiences
E. Performance Measures and Reporting
Proposer(s) may be public or private not-for-profit corporations, local educational agencies, business and/or trade associations, private for-profit corporations, community based organizations, labor organizations and governmental units including municipalities. Minority and women-owned businesses are encouraged to submit proposals.
