Nancy Dischinat, Executive Director, Lehigh Valley Workforce Development Board.

I blogged last week about the 2016 CareerLinking Academy STEM Camp we hosted here at the Lehigh Valley Workforce Development Board/CareerForce.  On Friday, the group ended strong with an impressive presentation to family members on their experiences from the entire week.  We want to thank all the businesses and organizations that took time to help educate and influence this group on the education and careers available in STEM,  but also showing them skills of problem-solving, exploratory learning, and critical thinking that go hand-in-hand with those subjects that make STEM education valuable.   These woman are our future workforce and it was wonderful to see them engage with businesses and understand the importance of communication skills, community involvement, teamwork and life skills necessary to find careers in any field.
